According to Ayurveda, seasonal flu is a disease of Vata-Kapha Jwara caused due to low digestive fire that allows Ama formation and dosha disturbance.

Take complete rest for the initial 2-3 days instead of working despite the illness.
Have small sips of warm water with tulsi and ginger added in it through the day.
Have light, warm khichdi-based diet till the recovery from fever and digestion comes to normal.
Try steam inhalation with 2-3 drops of eucalyptus/ajwain oil for congestion relief.
Avoid intake of cold drinks, curd and fried foods during fever period.
When Should You See a Doctor Immediately?
⚠️ Need For Medical Attention: In case the fever rises above 103°F (39.4°C) or if it lasts for more than 3-4 days along with breathing difficulties, you should visit a doctor immediately especially in case of kids, senior citizens or patients having any kind of illness. You must not wait for it or substitute the treatment with some home remedies.
